The Gospel of Mark

In a nutshell, what is Christianity about? Its about Jesus, the Son of God, coming into this world to save us from sin and evil, and give us new life, eternal life. But how can I receive all this great stuff from God, and how can I know its really true, anyway?

The answer is there are two things you can do:
1) Pray to God that he will reveal himself to you; and
2) Read Gods word in the Bible.

Its only when a person has come to that point in their life where they are open to God, when they realise this world is not all that its cracked up to be (especially on T.V.), that theres something missing, that a person is in a position to hear God, to give him a go and listen to what he has to say.

I am excited about Marks Gospel because its a great place for anyone who wants to get started investigating about Christianity. (Its also good for people who have been Christians for a long time, to refresh and clarify their faith). Marks account is the shortest and most uncluttered when compared to the accounts of Matthew, Luke and John. This makes it powerful indeed, focussing on the most important things.
